Anaylisis of camera movement and composition on Monarch Of The Glen

The clip starts off with a dolly shot, this enables the user to see the set in full and enables the viewers to see the workers at work, this sort of labour is usually associated with the men not children.

The scene swiftly changes to the next one in which the set and the costume of the young girl changes to show contrast, a medium long shot and a over the shoulder shot is taken to show the importance of the young girl in this scene, this enables the audience to see that how big of a contrast her age is to the other workers and people surrounding her.

In the next scene where the girl is asked to drive the vehicle they have used a dolly shot and a close up shot to capture the facial expressions and gesture. This help us understand that she can’t drive and that her age lacks to what she intended it is to be.

The next scene presents to us the car crash where a wide shot with a high view is used to show what and where it has happened, there after the headmaster is shown in a medium long shot this helps us establish that the anger is caused by the disappearance of the girl as well as the car crash.

The next scene shows us the age and size different of the two men this is shown using pan and tilt this enables the viewer to see it for them self. The next bit is shown from a low angle shot when the two men are back in the house this shows to us the power and authority these men have compare to the others.

To show the location the scene is shot at an extreme long shot, there after a mixture mid shots and close up is used to emphasize the hard graft and strength of the men.  A series of tilt, pan and slow zoom is used to show us the feeling and emotions of the girl when her belonging is left behind this enables us to understand that her child like attitude present to us the representation of age .

Finally when the women runs to the man a mid-shot is used to emphasise her emotion and feeling towards the girl, after the camera runs at the same height as the man to capture the guilt and sadness of him as  the clip ends.
